Herbal First Aid
West Highland Herbal has been working with Herbal Scotland to provide herbal first aid at festivals and events since 2009. We use a combination of orthodox first aid, herbal medicine, aromatherapy and other skills to treat minor acute conditions and provide health care to festival goers around Scotland. Herbal medicine adds diversity to First Aid, often treating illness or injury without the need to hospitalise. We often work in conjunction with a welfare team. Our team is as diverse as our treatments; all qualified first aiders, with many added skills: first responders, qualified herbalists, herbal students, nurses, homeopaths, occupational therapists and even a herbal vet!
Alongside First Aid, we provide herbal medicine information, on site herb walks, workshops (see below), a small library and a comfortable safe space to relax and discuss all things herbal and health related.
